Monitoring
Routine Monitoring
Which parameters should be routinely monitored?
Once microbial and chemical conditions have been identified using Diagnostic Test Kits, a custom monitoring program can be used to monitor only those factors which have been shown to be critical. BTI Products will work with you to provide the most effective and economical monitoring kits for your specific testing needs. Contact us for more information.
How often should we monitor our system for MIC bacteria?
This depends on the facility to be tested. It is usually possible to suggest a monitoring schedule based upon results from MICkit® diagnostic testing, system history, and treatment regimes being used. We recommend an annual check of facility conditions—unless problems are anticipated or develop, in which case more frequent monitoring would be required. BTI Products can work with you to customize a monitoring program tailored to your specific facility’s needs. Contact us to for more information.
Why is monitoring for microbiological and chemical factors important?
Routine monitoring of microbiological and chemical factors that have been identified as problematic by diagnostic testing can help ensure any treatments being implemented are effective in minimizing critical factors.
Monitoring Cleaning & Treatment Procedures
Why should we monitor our system during cleaning and treatment procedures?
Using cleaning and/or treatment monitoring kits targeted to the types of chemicals being used during mitigation are helpful in determining effectiveness of these procedures. Because cleaning and treatment require valuable resources to implement, monitoring during these procedures is a relatively inexpensive and quick way of ensuring targeted cleaning and treatment chemical levels are being achieved.
What should we use to monitor our system during cleaning and treatment procedures?
BTI Products offers “off-the-shelf” monitoring test kits for systems using our cleaning and treatment chemicals (MICclean™ Chemical 2 Monitor Kit and MICtreat™ FPS Chemical Monitor Kit). In addition, we can work with you to customize a monitoring program and monitoring products tailored to your specific facility’s needs. Contact us for more information.
